Frankie Lemus, MA, LMFT, LADC

 

Frankie Lemus serves as Vice President for Clinical Development for The Change Companies®, a nationally recognized publishing, training, and consulting company serving a range of providers in the fields of addiction and mental health treatment, criminal justice, impaired driving, prevention/education, and healthcare.


Mr. Lemus received his Masters Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Practice from Washburn University, Topeka, KS in 1993. He is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor in the State of Nevada. He serves as an educator and trainer for the Counseling and Educational Psychology Department, Mountain West Addiction Technology Transfer Center (MWATTC), and the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT) in Reno, Nevada. Training emphasis has been focused on ASAM PPC-2R and Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches with Addicted Populations. He maintains his position as adjunct instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno in the Counseling and Educational Psychology Department, maintains a small private practice, and previously held the position of Chief Clinical Officer for Bristlecone Family Resources, the largest addiction and mental health treatment provider in Northern Nevada.


Mr. Lemus has further served as a Consensus Panel Member for a Treatment Improvement Protocol Series (TIPS) manual on group therapy and substance abuse (TIPS 41), as a SAMHSA grant reviewer, presenter for the National Drug Court Institute, and as a member of SAMHSA’s Cultural Competency & Relevancy Network’s Hispano/Latino Workgroup.
