Ann Waller, M Ed

Ann Waller, M.Ed., is the adoptive mother of two adult children disabled by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Since 1993, she has worked with the FAS Family Resource Institute, the largest and oldest nonprofit FASD family-run organization in the U.S. Ann is the publications editor for their newsletter, FAS Times, and other educational materials based on scientific research integrated with the FASD Collective Family Experience. Her son's disabilities have led her into advocacy in the medical, educational, judicial, and social service systems. For the last 12 years Ann has also served as an FASD expert consultant on Washington State and federal interagency workgroups and on state and federal grants and subcontracts. As a professional, she can effectively communicate what she knows personally–the common behaviors of FASD and the dramatic impact they can have on families, service systems and society.
