Dudley Blake, Ph.D.

 

 

Dudley Blake, Ph.D., is the PTSD Director at the Boise Department of Veterans Affair’s Medical Center, overseeing the facility’s 5-week inpatient PTSD treatment program and its outpatient PTSD Clinical Team. Aside from his clinical duties, Dr. Blake serves as a psychological consultant to the staff of Boise Vet Center, as an active member in regional and local Professional Standards Boards, and as a Prolonged Exposure Consultant for the VA’s national effort to promote the use of evidenced-based treatments for PTSD (i.e., Prolonged Exposure [PE] therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy [CPT]). He has also coauthored more than 30 books, book chapters, and professional articles, served as guest reviewer for four professional journals, and led the National Center’s multi-site project to develop the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale (CAPS), considered to be the VA’s “gold standard” PTSD interview. His clinical specialties are PTSD assessment, cognitive therapy, behavior therapy, and sleep hygiene.
