Nancy Lopez

Nancy is the program coordinator for the federal Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws grant that Idaho has received for the past ten years.  This funding supports the efforts of many state and local agencies and coalitions to reduce underage drinking through proven strategies.  She finds the most rewarding and effective part of her work to be the creative networking that comes with bringing people together on issues important to the health and well-being of children.  The EUDL grant comes to Idaho through the Idaho Dept. of Juvenile Corrections, in partnership with the Office of Drug Policy.

Nancy has worked in the field of juvenile justice for over 30 years; as a probation officer,  juvenile program coordinator, district liaison, and Director of Pre-trial Services for adult corrections.  She has been active in District 7 on the Regional Advisory Committee, the Mental Health Advisory Board, and is Chair of the District Juvenile Justice Council. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburg just before she and her husband moved to Idaho thirty-four years ago to raise their two sons. Nancy enjoys travel and activities related to her Norwegian heritage.
