Valarie Zuniga, MA, LCPC

Valarie Zuniga, MA, LCPC has been a licensed therapist in private practice for 21 years. She is currently the Clinical Supervisor with the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections. She supports and practices the tenets of Positive Psychology, supervises counseling interns, and has taught Yoga at IDJC. She is very aware of the stress and pressures that those in the helping professions are exposed to; and of the effects of secondary trauma as well. She feels practicing Self-Care is essential for the longevity and health of those whose careers and lives are dedicated to the helping professions.
